Building Homes, Restoring Lives

Habitat for Humanity Golden Empire is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization. We operate on Christian principles that seek to put God’s love into action by building homes, communities, and hope. Habitat for Humanity Golden Empire is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide.

Constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes

Advocating for fair and well deserved housing policies

Providing resources to help families improve shelter conditions

From the beginning, Habitat for Humanity stood up for the conviction that every man, woman, and child should have a simple, durable place to live in dignity and safety. We bring people together who share our dream of making decent shelter available, which makes the community a better place to live.

We have an open-door policy: All who want to be a part of creating decent homes are welcome to help with the work, regardless of race, religion, age, gender, political views or any of the other distinctions that too often divide people. In short, Habitat welcomes volunteers and supporters from all backgrounds and also serves people in need of decent housing regardless of race or religion. As a matter of policy, Habitat for Humanity International and its affiliated organizations don’t require that volunteers or receivers of help adhere to or convert to a particular faith.

Expanding hope through Habitat for Humanity Guatemala

Habitat For Humanity Golden Empire donates part of our annual income to support affiliates in Guatemala. Thanks to the amazing support from the community, Kern County has been a part of building 75,000 homes in Guatemala!
